Academics
Emporia Christian School (ECS) offers educational programs for preschool age three through grade eight. ECS is a nondenominational Christian School established in 1992. The school offers the unique opportunity to provide preschool, state licensed childcare, and summer childcare for school-age students.
The diverse programs offered allow those looking for childcare and preschool to be serviced under one roof. ECS is a place where students receive a distinctively Christian education, focused on strong academics.
The school partners with parents and churches to help children understand they are unique and created with God-given talents. Caring, committed, and highly qualified teachers nurture and challenge students to become lifelong learners through an educational program marked by a Christian worldview. Included in our program are music, art, and computers.
Preschool
Our preschool program gets little ones ready for school. With a focus on social development and kindergarten readiness skills, it is an excellent first experience in school. We are a State Licensed Day Care facility.
Kindergarten
ECS offers a full-day kindergarten. This provides children with a firm foundation in phonics, reading, and math skills.
Elementary School
First and Second grades are taught separately. Third and Fourth grades, as well as the Fifth and Sixth grade classes, are taught as combination classes. They include the following subjects: Bible, Math, Reading, Language, Spelling, History/Geography, Science/Health, Computers, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Chapel. Each student receives individualized attention in a “learning community.” Small class sizes assure individual attention.

Middle school students also have the opportunity to do community service projects and participate in Cross Country, Track and Field, and Scholars' Bowl.
