Academics
Emporia Christian School (ECS) offers educational programs for preschool age three through grade eight. ECS is a non-denominational Christian School established in 1992. The school offers the unique opportunity to provide preschool, state licensed childcare, and summer childcare for school age students.
The diverse programs offered allow those looking for childcare and preschool to be serviced under one roof. ECS is a place where students receive a distinctively Christian education, focused upon strong academics.
The school partners with parents and churches to develop children’s unique, God-given talents to their highest potential. Caring, committed, and highly qualified teachers nurture and challenge students to become lifelong learners through an educational program marked by academic excellence.
Preschool for Threes
Our pre-K3 program gets little ones ready for school. With a focus on social development and kindergarten readiness skills, it is an excellent first experience in school. We are a State Licensed Day Care facility.
Kindergarten
ECS offers two years of kindergarten, K4 and K5. This provides children with a firm foundation in phonics, reading, and math skills.
Elementary School
We offer academic excellence for 1st – 6th graders. Included in our program are music, art, and computers. Small class sizes assure individual attention.
Middle School
This program offers academic excellence with pre-algebra, algebra, music, art, and computers. Extracurricular activities are available: Track and Field in the spring and Cross Country in the fall.
Before and After School Care
We provide a safe, nurturing environment for your children before and after school including fun enrichment activities. Care is offered before and after normal class times beginning at 7:30 AM and ending at 5:30 PM.
Summer Day Care
In between the end of the school year and the beginning of a new year, ECS offers a themed program that incorporates fun activities and learning opportunities. Learn more about our summer day care here.
Music
Children participate in music class twice a week. All children perform in the annual Christmas program.
Art
We expose children to a variety of art forms appropriate for their age level during weekly art class.
